Singular Point

Singular Point

A Poem by Jacey Beronio

And I, knowing you,
felt the universe collapses itself
around a singular point,
a tangled knot
of quiet gratitude.

A force stronger than silence,
less empty, spare.
What birthed after,
a clearer reflection
not of myself, or not entirely.
But of a fragile thread
holding the worlds together.

A solemn, difficult knowledge
impossible to shed,
and carry forward.
