My Own PaceA Poem by JackieI could do without the struggle. I could do without the fight. Without the trouble it would invite. Where it remain subtle, to keep things lightI could do without the stress I could do without the pressure Without all the extra mess At my own pleasure When I got so much to confess So much to endeavor With so much time to invest With so much to adventure With no time, no time to rest So much to do, to put together
I could do without the struggle I could do without the fight Without the trouble it would invite I prefer to keep things light Where it remain subtle To keep things right Where my knees don't buckle
I could do without the race I could do without the mission Without the errors that I would face This is my decision I prefer it at my own pace I prefer it not be a competition Jackie Gunnin 01/13/2017 © 2017 JackieAuthor's Note
