Penitence

down descends the mighty Hand
unto writhing Lilliputians
megalomaniacs
performing acts of contrition
and so with the attrition--of pride
dousing of the Glow and
melting of the drifting snow now
Corroded--is the penny new and
of the pallor,

shades of blue
