My Night Last night

This is a true story of what happened between my bf and me...except for the ending! hes' aLIVE!

He told me life wasn't worth living,

I told him to live for me,

 

He told me he stuffs everything up,

I told him he still has me,

 

He told me he's not worth it,

I told him he's worth the world.

 

He told me he'd never be happy,

so I told him, I'd make him.

 

He told me he loves me,

I told him, I'll never stop.

 

He told me he wants  to end everything.

so I asked if that included me.

 

He said, No babe, don't twist what I say,

I said, but I thought I was your everything.

 

He's suicidal and there's nothing I can do,

and I wiped the tears from my eyes as I cried,

 

"You're the only thing keeping me here" he said

"Please don't leave me!" I begged and I begged

 

But it was no use, he was already dead.

I've had talks like this many a time into the night. Just sitting there, listening and letting others talk to me, calming them out of thoughts. I really like this and it's sad that this is real because i know the pain that comes with a suicidal person is very intense. Keep writing though, it's a lovely poem. ^-^

So sad the loss of ones own importance...instead they feel unwanted and hated by all...I'm very happy though that he is still with us..that would've been just tragic.. maybe twisting his words as you wrote he said..maybe that brought some light into his darkened corner and showed him just how important he is to you...good job on both the poem and helping your friend :)
