I Don't Need a Valentine. He's Already Mine.

This will be the first year, I swear it will, that I will have a happy Valentine's Day, and I wish one to the rest of y'all.

Valentine's Day.
Now there's something to talk about.
I have a sad, sour history with
Valentine's Day.
Ridiculous.
I was always that chick,
You know the one,
Who never got a Valentine.
I'm just not easy to like.
It was a domino effect
That led to me being a holiday pariah.
No social skills begets
No friends begets
No Valentines.
So this year, you know what?
I'm done with the self-pity.
I've got a wonderful sweetheart,
And I don't care about the
Candy or the cards.
Self-pity is for the selfish.
Valentine's will be a holiday for love this year.
I will put away my childish things
And have a happy February.

Way to go! I'm with you on this one. :) Valentine's Day? I'll enjoy it in my own way. Inspiring to everyone who will put the pity behind them and enjoy life without all the perks media screams. There;s more out there than that. :)
