In the dilemma of getting young,
I got older as time just went by.
I was myself or imitating some,
Never came across path just went by .

Childhood was best or the Youth ,
Don’t give a thought they just went by.
Being honest says my reflection ,
Why did childhood just ran by.

Setting goal catching the dream ,
Not too late that opportunity went by .
Being an adult a responsible one ,
Live the present before it went by .

20 years passed by from child to teen ,
Teen to adult and life just went by .

This was such a good and relatable read, Jenny! Indeed, life is way too short; you turn from a youthful and playful child into an adult in the blink of an eye. As we age, the longing to return and enjoy those small moments grow immensely. Life is way too fast, and sadly, we have too less to remember sometimes. Wonderfully composed, Jenny!

Life is short! Yet there are people who cut their lives even shorter. Not that their lives are too long, but that their problems are just too much, perhaps. An adult Mayfly only lives for a day or so. A queen bee can live about 40x longer than any other in her hive on just royal jelly alone, despite no genetic difference between her and other bees. The Greenland shark lives between 250 to 500 years, they say. The Turritopsis Dohrii "jellyfish" don't age and they say that under ideal conditions they could live 1000s of years. Boy has your poem got me thinking. Wonderfully explained and expressed. tyfs
