“If I Could Let It Go”
A Poem
If I could lift from heart and mind
One weight that leaves me lost, confined,
'Twould be the struggle"harsh and deep,
That steals my dreams and robs my sleep.
For struggle walks with pain in hand,
And leaves me stranded where I stand.
It whispers doubt, it dims the light,
And makes me weary of the fight.
If work were smooth, and paths were kind,
No aching thoughts would cloud my mind.
I’d carry on with steady grace,
No fear, no tears upon my face.
No talk of quitting, no despair,
Just simple strength, a heart laid bare.
To toil with joy, not sorrow’s thread"
To wake each day, not filled with dread.
So let me live, just once, and free,
Without the chains that burden me.
Without the weight, without the sting"
To simply do… and never break a wing.
