The HillA Poem by PhoenixThoughts coming to the surface. There was a Hill And up it I ran To hear the Sunlight spill Across its green span.
There was no trail Nor ever a sign To keep me from Fail, That crowded land of the mind.
And a Fire kept me going, Something I could feel, With no one ever knowing That it was ever real.
Reality hit my mind As Time came around, And the Hill I climbed Fell away as a cloud.
It was dark, that fall And I could not See, But I heard your call Coming to help me.
I looked in your Eye And saw the top of the Hill, But a blink and a sigh Showed you hadn't made sunlight spill.
Now I walk forward Right through the shade, Not upward or downward, Just too fast to fade.
