That Smile...

Memories, or just dreams...? I don't know.

Be careful with that smile,

it's got too much charm

it's got too much style.

 

Cover up that smile,

it's too bright

it can be seen for miles.

 

Beware of that smile,

 it's there to burn

it's there to rile.

 

Keep back that smile,

it's something to worship

it's something to revile....

 

Oh, that smile of yours...

it's cutting right to my soul

it's breaking down all the doors...

 

And you, standing there all the while,

should take care...

because I could fall in love with that smile.

so cute... i enjoyed reading is... i understand how you felt (lol!)
i think you expressed very well how somebody's smile could so furtively affect someone. it's effective that the you (the speaker) was even angry at the source of the smile... as if blaming him or saying it was his fault you were captivated (and indeed it is).

Wow.. great tribute to a smile.. but not just any smile that of someone whom a person may have a crush or admiration for.. simple yet very effective.. the stanza:

Oh, that smile of yours...it's cutting right to my soul it's breaking down all the doors...
