Love & MurderA Poem by Jake Stance As the beast eats away my flesh,
I've felt pain like this once before.
Over and over, she says, "Nevermore".
Here I dispose on this floor,
In a pool of my own blood.
The wounds on my skin sting with severity.
I relive the days, when I felt okay.
I would abandon the scene,
Not a scratch on me.
And blood saturated my skin,
And none of it was mine.
The fragrance of your perfume,
It floods my senses,
It takes me back, to careless times.
Caring so little, and love was,
Nowhere to be found.
No such emptiness,
My fingers crossed.
I craved for power,
to control time.
And I wish to go back,
Do it over again.
I'm here, for that mortal sin.
She'll come back for me,
In the end.
