Pain's Angelic Face

This poem goes out to someone who is having troubles letting go of an ex-girlfriend of his.

Drunken on despair

The despair of words too cruel

Holding onto despair's last words

High from the pain

The pain of a broken heart

Holding onto pain's angelic face

Addicted to an old love

Too afraid to let her go

Too afraid you'll forget her face

Pain's angelic face

I liked the repetition, but I think you repeated either too-big or too-small chunks.

Wow very powerfull stuff. I like the flow of this poem,its very heartfelt and sad. This one provokes thought for sure. Great poem.
