Choose

We've had our ups and downs

But I let you go when I said good-bye

So why are you calling so late?

It's been a year since you've looked at me that way

I didn't know you still cared

So what am I supposed to do?

I'm in a relationship, with someone I love

But here you are again, to take my heart back

I love this boy too much, there's no way I'll leave him for you

But what can I do?

You were my first love, the only one in my world for years

Things were good, but not perfect

I'll always love you, but now I guess I must choose

You? or Him?

The one who had my heart but broke it?

Or the one who took my heart and is trying to fix it?

I'm just too confused!

I can't decide between an amazing guy and my first love!

That's just not possible....

But I know I have to choose

I've had this expierience before...in my case, i should have chosen the boy i already had over my first love, but didn't. And it was the wrong choice, and i got my heart broken again and again and again.
But maybe that's not the same for you. Sometimes the right choice for one person is the wrong choice for another, so i'm not entirely sure what to tell you. As a friend though, I don't want you to get hurt again.
There's a saying: Hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice, shame on me.

Hmmm. My advice as a friend is to follow your heart while still being logical about your actions. don't overthink things, don't over-analyze. i'm here if you need someone to talk to. Chin up my friend things will work out in the end.
