My Superman

This was written for my recent ex, Cody. I had written it b4 we had started going out, so I thought it was ok to post and I wouldn't feel too depressed.

I was falling into the black

Never thought I'd come back

My tears were continuous, no end in sight

The screaming got louder

The tension intensified

I lay awake at night, crying

Trying to get a hold of a friend

No one would answer, I guess nobody cared

Then I remembered you

So I looked for your number, I had written it down

I dialed the phone with a shaky hand

And a word of prayer asking you to be there

You answered and knew instantly something was wrong

You made me feel better and smile

And I knew then that you were my Superman
