Jealousy surged

Potent enough to breed

    traces of hatred's grace.

Perception, tangled,
  intricate in its weave,

Contemplating the hunger
  of curiosity, I perceive.

My jealousy
  stems from what I see,

A contrast of lives
  unlike my own, I decree.

Perhaps, all are measured
  against the superior,

Forgetting to empathise
  with those of the lower tier.
