I've always placed blame upon myself,

For deeds undone, and thoughts unexplored,

Why did I fail to see back then,

Why did those days pass by ignored,

Forgotten all, neglected each,

Had I but acted, paths would diverge,

Had I but pondered, today might differ,

I faltered for lack of care,

I erred for lack of heed,

But memories fade, escaping grasp,

Oftentimes forgetting, to blame myself,

Reasons once known now lost,

Even with thought, action, or voice,

Even with caution, even with heed,

In the end,

All things find their moment,

Unfolding as ordained,

Time brings forth all,

Yet, time too, may take away,

All we hold dear, in its sway.
