Leeched Hope

Leeched Hope

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

That Sticks.

"
"Counting the leeches that bleeds my mind
as my hopes drain into the emptying cup.

Drink my lifes silence and send my curse enduring
slipping in my fading hands cripples my living.

Drain this illusion with my clone that remains
in my home holding all who thinks it's me.

Cruel decisions recalculate the recall on
slowly to desperately to ride the lighting.

Folding intentions to resume the resources
that limit my exile in returned decadence.

Sliding under the train to tomorrow resides
my exception to belong here with them.

My moment of no return brings devouring
adrenaline to the game of everlasting shame.

Tearing at my leeched hope brings my motion
to live again with reasonable passionate devotion."
