Necronomicon

Necronomicon

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

The Book Of The Dead I Keep.

"
"If you jump there is no coming back
and without my wings it's forever a fall.
With one whispered touch life changes
under constant grief that licks the soul.
Holding love like it's a slave beckons
peace to be laid in thoughtful resting.
Fold illusions that focus you to believe
that there must be hope out there again.
Nails ring the dead to rise in stand still
crossing the right to belong in reality.
Force the moment to break temptation
in such chaos brings grave mistakes.
Choose another precious path to fate
where no light can ever shine in darkness.

There fear will separate the strong and willing
abandoning the weak and lost indefinitely.
Consider to exile the words to stay in
the shadow bleeds your safe destination.
My ghostly desire eats your heart from within
while i close the necronomicon to keep you...forever."
'I can't let you go not in this-my book of the dead.'

I really love the first two lines; such a great opening. The imagery is so dark, powerful.

Such an exquisite piece.. Deep dark despair echoes and flows through to the end.
"My ghostly desire eats your heart from within
while i close the necronomicon to keep you...forever."

'I can't let you go not in this-my book of the dead.'

I loved this :}
