Long Live Palestine!

Long Live Palestine!

A Poem by Javeria
"

Israel illegal occupation in Palestine, illegal settlements, forceful eviction, ethnic cleansing, killing of children must be condemned.

"
There is a place named Palestine
Where from the beginning,
Nothing was fine.
Illegal settlements and dispossession
Forceful eviction is a major section!

World wakes up when bird chirps
Palestinians wakes up when bomb,
Drops in their neighborhood.
All night one will hear ambulance sirens
This cycle never breaks, it continues,

Series of unfortunate never ends
A child coming out of his collapse house
Wonder, where his parents are?
Keenly searches and is unaware,
Blood is dropping from his wounds.

A Palestinian lady collects gernade shells
Plants flowers in it and is waiting,
When rainbow will appear in sky
When rain of bombing will end,
Lastly, ever world will notice our condition.

One can sense there is something awry,
Then why all these sentiments rises
For an apartheid state who is doing;
Wide massacre and ethnic cleansing,
Projected innocent infront of the world.

Your words are bleeding with what is happening in Gaza now. Although ours words cannot make justice to describe the atrocity in Palestine, yours caught tragically every corner of the suffering, from the awakening on the sound of bombs, to the kid leaving his home and looking for his parents, to the mom, to the sirens... As I read your poem, scenes were scrolling between my eyes.
And mostly this line "Lastly, ever world will notice our condition." As the world finally starts to know the truth, the veil is starting to drop, and we pray that Palestine will get free sooooon.
