The Nose Knows

The Nose Knows

A Poem by JayG
"

This was suggested by something that was popular among the teens when I was young, and was meant to get a reaction from my granddaughter. The second piece was my son's reaction.

"

I stuck my finger in my nose

And scraped it all around

I took it out and studied it

To see what I had found

I straightened up and struck a pose

To show what I had got

I thought I’d find the finger bare

But in the end, it’s not.

- - - - - - - -

The ancients lived in caves,
and we honor where they've been

By finding caves within us,
to stick our fingers in.

bahahhahahahha i cackled at this. I am so disgusted when my toddler picks their nose and yet somehow you have made the most hilarious and whimsical poem making fun of it all. Well done. That takes true talent!

And what a fun read as well. Children’s books (and adults too) can use works like these!
