Heart MurmurA Poem by Jay Levon
I listen to her heart murmur,
and pray she dies in her sleep. With the insurance money I could travel; Moscow, London, Morocco, or my beloved Mexico. Where I can die along the railroad tracks and a chupacabra can clean my bones, or in a whorehouse in Mexico City where a black-eyed girl can clean my pockets. I listen to my heart murmur, and pray I die in my sleep. With the insurance money she could travel..... © 2012 Jay Levon |
