I see something different

I see a past filled with horror

That others can't seem to see

Or maybe refuse to see

I see a culture of violence

Beyond our present day

It's always been there

Never under the surface

Always in front of our faces

Are those with eye's too blind to see

That very little has changed

From the past

Except now

We can murder one another
