Eyes are the window to the soul

Here you can not hide

What's on the inside

The cold blue do not reflect

The words that come out of your mouth

The same light doesn't shine

As it did once upon a time

When you were mine

Even when you mention him

Your eyes don't light up

Like they should

Or maybe it's just with me

Looking too deeply

Into your soul

And seeing your new feelings for me

i love the way you open this poem, eyes are the window to the soul and
all that encopasses a spirited outlook, this poem has a tinge of hope
set along a skyline of heartbreak, and the reader can feel each word,
cut to the bone. it is a questing of life and love and happiness.
