Am I as perfect

As you think I am

Will you always think of me

Like you do today

You say I'm too good to you

I wonder can I keep it up

I write these words for you

Will I always find the words

I pray that I do

For no one before you

Have made me this happy

Will I forever be

The man you've been dreaming of

Will I always hold your heart

Like I do today

When you awake

Will I always be your first thought

Today I'm your world

Tomorrow will I still be in your orbit

It's not that I doubt you

I doubt myself

And my ability

To keep this wonderful woman

That sums up how I sometimes feel about my wife even after 23 years of marriage. That last stanza is the one that reall hit home. I think it is healthy for a man to feel that way from time to time. It keeps us chasing our princess and it keeps us from becoming too complacent so we continue to work at our relationship. Most of my relational problems with my wife stem from complacency. excellent write.

I know this feeling..sometimes we are simply scared of not keeping up to the perfect light in which our loved one perceives us.No one is perfect..to see each other in a real light and accept one another as just that and not as someone as celestial is true love and am sure your woman too loves you more for your flaws than for the illusory perfections.
