Turning Back the Past

Sometimes you have to just move on and head forward.

I was caught up in the hate

Persecuted and oppressed

By my own anger

Everything would wait

For my revenge

Engulfed in spite

Hiding in the shadows

Wasting my time

On the demons of the past

Swallowed by hate

My days in the dark

No light could shine

Full of rage

For the ones

Who did me wrong

I ask my enemies

Can we make our peace

On The Dark Side of The Moon

Can we wipe the slate clean

And begin today anew

Letting go is always easier said then done, probably the most difficult. Festering emotions, always boil over in an outburst. Enjoyed the raw reality of this.. I think most will agree, this bitterness has filled all of our mouths at one time or another. Solid, raw, real and honest.. Nice job!

. brilliant, jeff ... and here's a hard core floyd fan telling you the incorporation is perfect ... indeed ... hatred is not worth it ... just a few minutes ago, i read isolophobe's "homage to hate" ... and now i'm reading this ... and i'm feeling so healed from within ... thanks a million for this ... and yes, we can make our peace ... we don't have to be the best of friends, but we can certainly make our peace ... yet, i think it's a process ... maybe we had to go through hatred to reach this point ... maybe ... but yes, this is the point ... and that was the journey ...
