Not an attack on religion. I just want to point that out.

Tell me who's your god

Does he make cash

Will he take you higher

Or down below

Now tell me does he conceal himself

Behind the darkness

Is he savior

Or saboteur

If he's out front and center

Shining glory to all

Will he save your soul

Or condemn your soul

Tell me what's your god

Is he an idol

Will he rise in the sky

And die in your eye

We all seem to have a different version of God just to fit into a group and have to admit the belief of the God or we will be judged and condemned as evil

A thought provoking piece...we sway on beliefs of the superior based on the times and the mood, desperate measures for desperate times..So who is this or rather what is this?? A piece that drools in depth because of the kind of questions it dares to ask, love it..well done

Your perspective is good. "Is he an idol" this line is very key with anything religious. The golden calf i believe it was in the bible but in the end it is a possibility that any belief figure is no more then and idol , false or true depending on your momentary belief system and the hand your dealt. I like the wording and i can almost feel a slightly harsh tone when reading it, love it.
