Fine, I'll admit it, I miss you. You, and the sunA Poem by Jenna Kay
Too long has night and darkness flooded across my shores
The storms are feeding off the frenzied ocean waves and thundering upon my aching heart The land and sea have kept us apart And I need to be within your embrace once more All day, this hurricane has pounded the rhythm of the rain inside my head And since rain reminds me of you, I'd rather be with you instead Like cameras flashing, an onyx sky lights up blue for an instant, then another Sparking memories of each other How you said those flashes were comforting Well this is your playground I flourish in daytime and sunlight In heat and white clouds In this nightmare, I am so far from my element So far from you With you along side me, you could control this insanity You'd be master of the winds and waves I know, because when you kiss me, you send electricity into my skin When you touch me, you send lightning into my spine and the blue of your eyes intensifies For some reason, I was called to your darkness I fell into the eyes of your storm and the rush never once bothered me Now, alone, I hear the noise I feel the whip of the winds around me for the first time And my love, I need you here To calm the storm outside And the one inside my heart © 2016 Jenna KayFeatured Review
