I really enjoy classical, and I've been singing a certain tune and these words came to mind

Can you take me apart,
with the string of my heart.
With every beat I feel,
every pain I conceal.

Won't you take me apart,
with these strings in my heart.
They hurt with every beat,
but keep me from weeping.

Why can't I be happy
for all you've done.
Sure enough I've
been too rough,
but can't you still
Love me. . .
