Mothers Day

A poem i wrote for my dearest mother

MOTHERS DAY

There are times I tire

To pen them down

My thoughts of gratitude and thanks

For all the times you stood by me

When alone i felt like a paper boat sailing along the river banks

Your Faith is like a rock, immovable and undeterred

But when I loose mine ..somehow you always stir

When situations seemed like a dead end street

When chaos and darkness cornered me

Like an answered prayer you descend upon me

Your prayers and intercessions rescue me

If I ever got lost at life like a ship at sea

Like a compass your values always guide me

You take challenges in your graceful stride

Carrying me to a future - flourishing and bright

Like a sun you believe, I will one day shine

Even in darkness you still see the light

Such is your love for me mother

A beacon - shining bright

For all you have done and continue to do for me …

To you indebted I will forever be

With humility and love I acknowledge thee ..Oh Mother …I LOVE YOU
