Pierced.

Pierced.

A Poem by Jess Holden
"

Another poem I wrote one sad night.

"

You pierced me,

Not many people have done that before.

You made me think,

And that's something I'll never

live down.

You made me cry,

But I made you hurt,

It felt like such fair revenge,

But you stuck by your word,

You never quit,

Like I wanted you to,

I never really did,

Think it through.

I never really gave things a second chance,

I never really thought,

I guessed you'd stop caring,

Stop wanting me to be there.

How wrong was I,

When your were starring me in the face,

Our eyes locked,

Your eyes set,

And our minds separated.

I guess I never really thought it through,

The pain I'd cause for you,

I guess nothing really got through me,

But you.
