A poem about being afraid to be broken.

I'm afriad to tell you how I feel,
Afraid to let my weakness be known,
Scared to know how you feel about this,
Scared to be broken.

I want a peace between us,
Just a general understanding,
Like a secret language that only we can understand.
We could make memories of our friendship,
As we slowly watch it grow,
I know I jumped the gun,
But I'm just scared to be broken.

I cocked back that same gun,
And watched it lite a devistating fire,
That destroyed my entier life,
And broke my heart.
And just as I was getting better,
Months before I met you,
I was smashed apart by others,
And learned to be scared to be broken.

I'm so scared to love you,
I don't want to have to put myself back together,
After another heart shattering loss,
I don't want to lose you.
I'm too scared to be broken...
