A Story by Jess Holden
"

Short story, kinda connected with "Keep it Short."

"
"Why'd you even bother? I mean, we're teenagers, right? We're suppose to want this kinda stuff." she said slowly. I felt my heart begin to break as my mind began to race.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I kept the smile on my face as I felt a laugh escape through my trembling lips. Could she tell I was shaking?
"Ha, yeah I guess so." I muttered in response, bowing my head so my hair fell over my face. I didn't know how much longer I could keep this stupid smile on my face without breaking down. "Yeah, I know that its rough in the beginning, but you get use to it. Not everyone wants to use you." she said.
I chocked out another laugh.
Ah the punch line to the joke of the day; not everyone wants to use you. Its a lie. I knew it in my heart and soul that all anybody ever wanted to do to me was hurt me; I was such a gulable person, it was funny. "What?" she asked, as I herd her move.

I flinched.

"Nothing, just thinking." I said, leaving room for questions.
"You do that a lot."
"Yeah, yeah I do."
