Had we met at a different Time

Had we met at a different time-

space or place,

where the sun was forever glowing,

where the flowers were forever fragrant-

wherever we picked one;

where the world was dominated only by freedom and nothingness, 

that we almost despise to survive;

where you and I were not who we were,

but who we wanted to be-

the unfettered soul of a pair of invisible wings;

where your soul was my blood, and my blood was your soul;

where I was you, and you were I.

Until the day-

Until the day when the sea turns into stones; 

Until the day-

when I was able to refresh and elevate my 'old soul;'

Until the time-

when I was to have a glory resurrection;

Until after a decade-

to find myself a new name;

Until after an age-

to find myself a new chance-

to find you once again-

at the end of the eternal horizon-

where you and I shall love once again.

This is a beautifully written piece. So many of our wishes just remain that, unfulfilled but we keep on hoping for the best to happen.

Beautifully written poem about an ideal love. If only love could be that perfect. But as long as I'm in love, everything else doesn't matter. I enjoyed this poem.
