PerfectionA Poem by JesterTo achieve perfection...
Will o’ wisps of purple flames, Butterflies with long pale wings, Blades slice through the hot air. Time slows down as my eyes focus, Long pale wings coming into sharp sight, As they seem to slow in their never ending dance, Their task of pulling against the hell hot air. The fan whirls away in the window As the blankets press down below me, The twirling of the fan above me Lulling me into a twilight doze. For a split second All thoughts abandon my mind, And for a split second, Everything became clear. Pupils dilate in shock and awe, And seconds later, Brown eyes, beautiful some say, Close in sadness at losing perfection. But understanding comes with loss, To achieve perfection, All other things, Thoughts, Memories, Action, Opinion, Emotion, Everything, Must first be lost. To find perfection, One must be blank, Perfection in the most simply form, In being at peace. © 2008 JesterAuthor's Note
