WinterA Poem by JexA season that is beautiful and cold, maybe lively and deadly?
It's Beautiful
It's cold It's a double-edged sword It's intriguing and enticing, Dangerous and Wonderous It's beauty more known from what's on the outside. But you must be careful and cautious As looks can be deceiving, After all, beauty like this is quite dangerous Like a Red Rose full of thorns. It runs wild and free It spreads throughout everything and anything Grabbing on with a firm grip, it could be quite suffocating. Mischevious and Playful Children's laughter in delight echo all around, Running and Hiding Building and destroying Really it's quite a fun time. It's Shines brightest with the faint glow of the Moonlight Sometimes quiet and eerie Lonely and deathly. Rotting, Killing, Freezing and Trapping. Leaving nothing and everything behind. Remember it's never all bad either It's like a warm blanket Making everything seem so pure... so lovely Like a pretty filter To hide all things ugly, So bundle up, and grab your gloves And come join me for such a beautiful Winter It's the best season after all. © 2019 Jex |
