Dark Dreams

Dark Dreams

A Poem by ElizaB

A child of dark,
Lonely in light,
Sings beneath bark
To take away fright.

Too young for this...
For them.
No wish,
Again,
And again...
Lost in bliss.

Best alone,
Best to miss,
Those unknown,
The Goodbye Kiss,
It is overgrown,
Their bodies abyss...

Heart sewn,
Mind flown.
Mud throne.
Wind groan.

On own...

On own...

Just bone.

You have a unique talent of pulling off the short line. The imagery is strong, the narrative is moving, and musicality is on point! And of course you always leave room for interpretation in the most stellar of fashions. Well freaking done!
