Comics and Novels.

A Poem by JoJo Hallows

I trip over my feet trying to be the best me I can for you. I simply don't walk the same path as you do. You wish I'd give up the comics and take up real reading. Well, I read the same books as you and found them interesting. I place myself inside them and find I'm just not fitting. Tell me, when you write this chapter out; will it read "I love.." or " Potential to be..?" With those before, I tried to change but remained the same. Now, I can't remember my name.

Do we accept the parts of us we can't deny or do we end our story on goodbye? I won't fail to love you but I can't say I am the on you love. Now, I'm such a book and you're such a comic. Cigarrettes, empty heart and empty stomache. Casual sex, socialites and vodka tonics. Reading us over and over; you've turned the page.
