Racism

Racism

A Poem by Joey Martinez
"

my take on racism

"
Racism is nothing more than a mechanism that they try to plant in our minds
you think being in a room with white people everything will be fine?
you think black people do every crime?
open your mind, let it shine, be kind to all kinds
after 9/11 all muslims were to blame people would call them a terrorist without even knowing their names
its a f*****g shame how low humanity has fallen it used to be hugs and kisses but now its disses and name calling
n****r this, spic that, saying words like that can get your head cracked.
the people need to realize were just here to live our lives not to judge or criminalize
we need to unite and give the world a wake up call
before something bad happens and the world gets into one big racial brawl
but wait! its too late we live in a world where cops decide a black mans fate
lets make this clear, not all cops are racist but most are and some take it too far
black, white, brown, red, purple, it doesn't matter what color you are
we are all human, we are all the same, we all feel pain
stop this racism, lets defuse this mechanism
together, we are one
