Doctors orders.

Doctors orders.

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Doctor wait!
it's not too late
please don't operate
I promise you this time
I promise everything will be fine
inside my mind
nothing will intertwine
from whats wrong to whats fine
I'm a different man
this time I have a plan
I'm gonna face conquer my problems. face my fears
even if it brings me to my knees and my face full of tears
I have goals, I can see them from a far
before I was blind, my thought process was dark
doctor can't you see, I am a new man!
find it in your heart for this is what you must understand
don't take away my mind, I swear I'm fine this time!
don't prescribe me those pills that take away my creative and imaginative thrills
I'm gonna prove you wrong
I'm gonna be somebody!
I'm stable , I will be able
to become who I want to be
doctor please, don't do this to me
I was trapped in my mind but now I'm free
and soon enough you'll truly see who I was sent to be, me.

Some very good rhymes here and there. Over all it's pretty well written and a bit on the striking side.
