Physical Spirit

Physical Spirit

A Poem by Joey Martinez

You made a choice to follow me,
into the light of a greater sea.
In my domain I seek to make amends,
countless innocents to avenge.
Though I won't be here in flesh,
history of my spirit stays fresh.
And so my spirit will watch afar,
in hopes you do not stray far.
Pursue that happiness of need,
carry your deeds not into greed.
The righteous are in no wrong,
pain will keep the best strong.
So follow me if you please,
into a world deeper than the sea.
I promise you joy and cheers,
not sadness or fears.
Your answer awaits,
are you ready for the great escape?
Follow me, take my hand,
you will never fall, united we stand.
