Clear Skies

As I stared into a distance

through the window of my mind

it seemed the rain would fall forever

and the sun would never shine.

The clouds above my heart

would grow darker by the day

and the ice in my heart

would just not melt away. 

I was battling depression

trying to fight the pain

I wondered if I truly

would see romance again.

But then something caught my eye

it was as if she fell from the sky.

A beautiful lovely woman

hand landed right before my eyes.

Just the sight of her

had melted the ice in my heart

and washed away the rain

her laughter and smile

had cured all my pain.

I know she saw my fears

and with the touch of her lips

she kissed away my tears. 

She makes me feel euphoric

I feel as if I'm high as the sky

she makes me feel so happy

I swear I almost cried. 

The love I was looking for

has just been found

her beauty has swept me

high off my feet

and it looks like

I'll never touch the ground.

It's amazing, I will admit, what a beautiful woman can do. Her soft touch and caress. Interesting poem, I liked the way it started off and then how it transitioned into a love story.
