Welcome home

Welcome home

A Poem by Joey Martinez

you can see the sadness in her eyes
you feel the pain she holds
you see darkness in her skies
her heart, ice cold
she wants to end her life
the pain is eating her alive
so she grabs the sharpest knife
and hops in the car for a drive
she stops by the woods
this is her life's last dance
she's just misunderstood
no one gave her a chance
"life is unfair" she loudly yells
as she falls to her knees and cries
she's wrapped around suicide's spell
and she's more than ready to end her life
the knife touches her neck
she's had enough of this pain
her life is a complete wreck
so she digs in and cuts her vain
blood begins to flood the ground
shes coming to her last breath
now the pain is nowhere to be found
"welcome to your new home" says death
