The way it makes me think

In the chords of my escape

My problems go away in a blink

Music just takes me to another place

Far beyond this world, far beyond space

It travels into my ears, and the euphoria spreads

Without music, I might possibly be dead

You see, music can teach you many things

It can teach you valuable lessons in life

It can prevent you from picking up that knife

I know depression is a hard opponent to defeat

But music can help you face it and land you right back on your feet 

It can be your guide through the good and bad

Music prevents my loving soul from becoming sad

Lyrics can be so powerful, they can influence your thoughts

It can conquer all those feelings that you have tried to fought 

Just hearing someone sing about what you feel or think

Touches my heart, lifts me up, so I never reach the brink and sink

A lot us don't have someone to be there for us

But music, music will always be there for you
