Crash landed in a unknown planet

Crash landed in a unknown planet

A Poem by Joey Martinez

I crash land on a unknown planet
I see a strange figure in the distance and begin to panic
It begins to come near
My body is showering itself with fear
My ship is smashed, I can't escape
Looks like this is it, this must be fate
NO! I can fix this this ship
This isn't it
I'm too young to die
As God as my witness I will fix this ship and fly
I head inside and grab my tools
I was trained to do this, I'm no fool
As I look outside through the window
The creature I once saw is a no show
It was as if the creature disappeared like some hocus pocus
So I turn back around, get to work and focus
I screw in the bolts and reconnect some wires
I grab the fire extinguisher and put out the small fire
Focused on fixing the ship, my senses were down
The ship takes a hit and flips upside down
Through the cracks I see the figure I once saw before
It barges in through the wall as if it was a open door
I grab my pistol and aim at its head
Hoping this last bullet in the chamber drops him dead
I take the shot, I watch the bullet miss
It approaches me with anger, this is it
I am a dead man
It grabs me viciously with just one hand
I look at its face with a blank stare
I'm trapped, his grasp has me gasping for air
It pulls me towards his mouth and he opens wide
I had a good life, this is it, for I have been eaten alive.
