The Dealer Of Light

The Dealer Of Light

A Poem by Joey Martinez

A wanderer of the night
Bathed in darkness searching for light
But nothing is shown at the end of the tunnel
I shake as I hear the darknkess rumble
Even my shadow is starting to flee
Because it dreads being apart of me
And as I look up towards the moon
It looks away and leaves me consumed
Not a single soul lends a hand to give me direction
Afraid my darkness is an incurable infection
But I mean no harm
Please excuse my hideous charm
I am a man in need
So please help and set aside your greed
Now please look my way
I sense my soul will soon decay
Yes I am blind but I can hear
Your footsteps decease when I walk near
I'm a innocent soul searching for light
I alone can not win this fight
Please guide me out of the night
