Stranger Love

Stranger Love

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Have you ever fell in love with a passersby?
Just that two second glance
Has you in a love filled trance
And when she passes you by
You feel a little dead inside
But those few seconds of the meeting between the eyes
Are something you hold close
To relive that moment again is what you yearn for most
Her beauty, her vibe, something just grabs your attention
And every time you're in a conversation you can't help but mention
This stranger, who owned your heart in a matter of seconds
You ponder on what could have been
You scratch your head and rub your chin
Pinching yourself for not speaking up
Now you're apart of the broken heart club
But you still have faith your eyes will meet once again
Hoping she can became a lover or just a friend
