Why do you hide behind a mask of lies
You can fool the others but I'm far too wise
I see the pain in your eyes
I can see the tears that are ready to cry
Your smile speaks of false hope
You force it upon yourself to help cope
You force these feelings so others won't notice the pain
You want to fit it so people won't think your insane
But why not share your pain
Because I myself have been on your lane
Walking on the road of struggle and depression
Hiding my true feelings with foolish expressions
You are not the only one
Who chose to run
Who chose to hide what they felt
Life is a gamble and the cards have been dealt
No aces in sight
But together we can be King and Queen and put up a fight
Together we can overcome these obstacles and flee
We can make that smile truly be
