Overcome

Overcome

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Their pain is his pleasure
His insanity is something you can't measure
By his outer shell you couldn't tell
That this child was a demon sent from hell
Consequences to him was nothing but a laughing matter
He surpassed insanity but still climbs the ladder
A troubled youth
Who puts his mind to use
To create a emotional noose
Because abuse is his policy
It's his form of comedy
A mastermind of psychology
A pupil of hypocrisy
The attacker who attacks consciously
Is nothing but a boy
Who chose to play with minds rather than toys
His past was vast with trouble and agression
To hurt and manipulate were his life lessons
Grown up in a abusive household
Resided by humans with no souls
Who's heart beat a vicuous tone
That left you frozen and cold
But don't worry I don't speak of me
As you can see
I am nothing like this creature
Nothing humane can contain his emotional features
I speak of a boy who could have been
I speak of a boy who was bathed in sin
I speak of a voice inside your head
That keeps you awake when you're in bed
There's a demon in us all
Don't give birth to this child or else you'll fall
No matter what situation we are in we can stand tall
We can overcome all
