Deep Inside

Deep Inside

A Poem by Joey Martinez

A sophisticated man who's choices are far from wise
A burden that weighs heavy in which he can not rise
He hears the misguided rumors and constant lies
Forcing him to consider wearing a bleak disguise
To avoid being seen crying endless rivers of tears from his eyes
But he does not dare to change your eyes perception
He rather be lonely than accept your pity affection
Because he knows what lies inside
A man who exhibits powerful vibes
We all are victim to choices we regret
So why judge a man you have not met?
Silence the rumors, stop the lies
Help the man who can not rise
Offer a hand, lend him your voice
Help him decide the appropriate choice
Why put down and not help stand
Why not help a fellow soul of this God given land
No matter the race, the color, nor the sex
We are creatures of God just like the rest
Help the man so you can understand
That we are one
