Mysterious

Mysterious

A Poem by Joey Martinez

That mind of hers is precious.
But its the silence that is truly infectious.
Some say it's a cause for concern.
However I yearn for her not to speak.
Because the mystery of her silence is what makes my heart beat.
She wears a smile of corruption to hide her emotional rage.
A disguise that covers every detail in the pages of her trust.
I'm guessing a man took her voice and left it to rust.
You fool the others but I know you sew on the smile over the truth.
I am the peace you want, I am the truce.
My mystery woman you have no face.
You have no presence, you have no trace.
Why do wear this mask of illusion?
What did this man do to cause you to come to this conclusion?
The mystery has my mind in a race.
I can’t even sleep, I can’t keep pace.
Dark circles on my face from the eagerness of knowing why someone would hurt you.
I’m a new character in your book who wants to be apart of your story until the end.
Not as an enemy nor as a friend, but as the one.
The one who saved you and gave you a voice.
I am the man who will bring you rejoice.

You, my friend, will drive yourself crazy. Hiding in the mysterious, afraid to get close, afraid to break the mystery, but heartbroken all the same when it ends! I am guilty of the same bane.
