LSD

LSD

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Her tongue is half twisted with words left unsaid.
She wants to follow her dreams but reality left her for dead.
Now she comes across a friend who offers an escape.
Hallucinating minds begin to paint a different fate.
A lucid lover begins to hover across town.
Hoping to find herself but has yet to be found.
Lost in the clouds of delusion.
Following illusions that lead to nowhere but confusion.
But there's no wrong routes up in the sky.
Tears of joy begin to fall unaware they're tears of lies.
A false smile is worn, a torn mind becomes healed from a deal of drugs.
She's at peace with LSD kisses and hugs.
Hallucinating to believing a tranquility that's nothing more than a mirage.
A collage of emotions have become united and no loner cause commotion.
Fantasy has arrived, reality is done.
LSD has stunned another soul.
A nightmare becomes a dream that's outdated and sold.
Negativity becomes raided with false hope.
She's walking on sunshine but reality has her on the ropes.
